Gum disease increases the risk of heart attack

Dr. David Brown, a Washington University cardiologist at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, has brushed up on the latest research which finds poor dental hygiene can increase the risk of a heart attack.

Research from Sweden indicates poor dental hygiene can increase the risk of heart disease by up to 28 percent.
